Paid Role: Animator / Video Creator (Neurodivergent Affirming Content)

This is a freelance opportunity. A budget has been allocated to this project. Rates are negotiable and partly depend upon the details agreed upon with the animator/video creator.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and create neuro-affirming animations and video content to support Thriving Autistic’s mission.
  • Collaborate with the team to conceptualize and execute engaging, inclusive, and educational content.
  • Work closely with our team to ensure animations are accessible, visually engaging, and aligned with our neurodiversity-affirmative approach.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in animation or video creation (please provide a showreel or portfolio).
  • Proficiency with animation and video editing software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent).
  • Ability to conceptualize and create accessible and inclusive content for diverse audiences.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a mixed neurotype team.
  • A commitment to neurodiversity-affirming principles and approaches.
  • Reliable internet connection for remote work.

What You'll Need

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in operations or project management 
  • Strong ability to organise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Clear and direct communication style
  • Experience with remote work and digital tools including Slack Email Google Workspace

Desirable skill:

  • Demonstrated experience implementing inclusive practices in work settings

Values and Knowledge:

  • Understanding of neurodiversity and neuro-affirmative practices
  • Commitment to human rights-based approaches

Paid Role: Technical Specialist (Webinars, Website Management, Video Editing)

We are excited to announce a unique, flexible opportunity for an experienced Technical Specialist. We are seeking assistance for ad-hoc, occasional tasks, operating under a neurodivergent-affirmative framework. This is a pay-by-the-hour role that may involve collaboration on training webinars between Thriving Autistic & the Adult Autism Practice as well as standalone tasks solely for Thriving Autistic.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, manage, and troubleshoot accessible training webinars in collaboration between Thriving Autistic & the Adult Autism Practice
  • Handle website management tasks for Thriving Autistic
  • Conduct video editing and enhancements

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in conducting and managing accessible webinars
  • Proficiency with website management (WordPress)
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively within a mixed neurotype team
  • Reliable internet connection for remote work
